TIMBERCOREBUILDING SUPPLY CO.
ABOUT TIMBERCORE · YARD #04

Three generations of straight sticks.

We've been pulling lumber, sheathing, and decking off our racks since 1978. Same family. Same yard. New software, but the same folks behind the counter.

01 · WHAT WE BELIEVE

Four rules. We never break them.

RULE 01

Fair on the Pull

Same yard price for the GC and the homeowner. No mystery 'contractor' tier you can't access.

RULE 02

On-Time, On-Site

If we miss the delivery window, the freight rolls free. Period.

RULE 03

Quality Stamped

Every bunk graded. Every load inspected. We replace sub-spec stock — no questions.

RULE 04

Trade First

Built by carpenters, for carpenters. Our reps know what 'crowned up' means.

02 · TIMELINE

From mill to FRAME.

We've been re-tooling for half a century, but the rules have never changed: real wood, fair price, on-time truck.

1978

The Yard Opens

Howard Whitaker buys an old grain mill in Rutland. Stocks 12 SKUs of SPF.

1989

First Flatbed

Adds same-day delivery to all of Rutland County.

2004

Second-Generation

Howard's daughter Joanne takes the books. Doubles the lot.

2017

Composite & Code

Becomes the regional Trex® and Rockwool dealer.

2026

FRAME Goes Live

Launches AI Materials Assistant, paired with the same yard team you've always called.

03 · THE FOREST, TOO

We grade our wood. We grade our suppliers.

STD-01

FSC-Sourced Stock

Where available, our SPF, SYP, and cedar comes from FSC-certified forests in Vermont, New Brunswick, and Maine.

STD-02

Yard Reclamation

Off-cuts and damaged stock go to local makers, schools, and Habitat for Humanity. Almost zero waste leaves the yard.

STD-03

Trade Education

We sponsor four annual scholarships at Stafford Tech & host quarterly framing clinics for local high schools.
